By car: From Beaune or Lyon: Take the A6, exit at Mâcon Sud, then take the N79 towards Paray-le-Monial until you reach the D980 towards Cluny. From Moulins: Take the N79 towards Mâcon until you reach the D980 towards Cluny. Cluny Abbey and the Museum of Art and Archaeology are situated in the heart of the village of Cluny. There are plenty of car parks available. The ‘Prado’ pay-and-display car park is at the entrance to the town.
By bus: For timetables for the various routes, visit the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region’s website: LR 701 – Chalon-sur-Saône < > Cluny < > Mâcon (with TGV connections). LR 709 – Digoin < > Paray-le-Monial < > Charolles < > Cluny. TAD 751 – (by reservation) Montceau-les-Mines < > Cluny.
By bike: Arrive via the Voie Verte cycle route, then follow the cycle path to the town centre. Cluny < > Mâcon 1h30 // Cluny < > Chalon-sur-Saône 2h50.
By train: Mâcon-Ville and Mâcon-Loché stations.
