This creation by the Compagnie Hallet Eghayan develops a choreographic language based on the treatment practised by the monk-healers of the Middle Ages...
"If the paths of Anthony enlighten our souls, the paths of the Antonines heal our souls and bodies. From East to West, the Antonines are the foundation of our spirituality, the basis of our medical knowledge. They founded hospitals, dug the roots of botanical knowledge, and opened generations to a life of charity and compassion through prayer and the practice of our first medical sciences". Michel Hallet Eghayan
For 42 years, the Compagnie has been pursuing its sensitive exploration of the body in movement through numerous choreographic works. Based in Lyon, it was founded by Michel Hallet Eghayan, a student of Merce Cunningham in New York and co-founder of the Maison de la Danse in Lyon.
