By car
- From Beaune or Lyon: A 6, exit Mâcon sud, N 79 direction Paray-le-Monial to D 980 direction Cluny.
- From Moulins: N79 direction Mâcon to D980 direction Cluny.
The Cluny Abbey and Museum of Art and Archaeology are located in the heart of the village of Cluny.
Numerous car parks are available. The " Prado " pay car park is at the entrance to the town.
By bus

- LR 701 - Chalon-sur-Saône < > Cluny < > Mâcon (with TGV connections).
- LR 709 - Digoin < > Paray-le-Monial < > Charolles < > Cluny.

By bike
Arrive via the Voie Verte then follow the soft link to the town centre. Cluny < > Mâcon 1h30 // Cluny < > Chalon S/Saône 2h50.
By train
Mâcon-Ville and Mâcon-Loché stations.
By electric car
A recharging point for electric vehicles is available free of charge to all users, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on rue Porte de Paris in Cluny, and has two recharging spaces. More information on the Tourist Office website

- No luggage storage facilities are available within the monuments (available at the Tourist Office).
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the site, both inside and outside the monument. Pursuant to Decree no. 2025-582 of 27 June 2025 on smoke-free areas, collective outdoor areas where children and teenagers may be present or exposed, in particular public parks and gardens, become smoke-free areas.
